Hinsley Hall, in Headingley, Leeds, was originally a Wesleyan College and opened back in 1867. Today it is a Catholic Diocesan Pastoral Centre and Hotel.
We’ve worked for the Catholic Diocese of Leeds on several of their other properties in West Yorkshire. Here at Hinsley Hall we were on site to carry out a variety of works to this historic Victorian property.
Areas of the facade of the main building were repointed. The retaining wall to the front of the Hall was dismanted before being rebuilt back in line.
Hessian was used to protect the lime mortar pointing from the direct sun, wind and rain. The hessian stops the pointing from drying out to quickly.
