Stone Replacement – Period Home, West Yorkshire

Over time the stonework in your facade can become badly eroded, or damaged. Recently we have been working at this period home in West Yorkshire whose stonework was in need of replacement.

Defective masonry was carefully cut out. New stone to match was sourced, and then tooled to match the surrounding stonework. It was then fitted, and re-pointed with a lime mortar mix.

The surrounding stonework at this stage looks considerably darker than the new stone, due to there being moisture in the stone itself. Over time the new stone will blend in.
