Facade Cleaning and Lime Mortar Pointing, Headingley

Here’s a recent project carried out in the Headingley area of Leeds.

This semi detatched property was chemically cleaned and neatly repointed with a lime mortar mix, really enhancing its facade.

As  you can see the  chemical clean has really lifted the stonework, compared to that of its neighbour. Chemical cleaning is a way of cleaning your masonry in a way that isn’t detrimental to the face of the stone, as it’s non abrasive. Some of the character in the stone remains, giving a more subtle clean.
