Lime Mortar Pointing, Farm near Ripon

Over the years we have formed many long term relationships with our clients. Here is a farm building which forms part of an extensive estate near Ripon, North Yorkshire. We’ve worked on many of their farmhouses and outbuildings over the past few years.

Recently we have been on site to carry out lime mortar pointing to this outbuilding, which forms part of their stables, near Ripon. 

The joints were carefully cut out around these mixed cobblestones, washed out and repointed with a lime mortar mix. Lime mortar pointing is something we specialise in here at Building, Restoration and Cleaning, it allows the building to breathe and is much more sympathetic in a period building such as this. 

Repointing not only ensures the intergrity of your building, enabling it to fend off the elements, but also unifies the facade making it much more visually appealing.
